Strong Women Rock

In my life I have had the privilege of being inspired by many strong women. From my Mom who was widowed with two girls in HS, to my BFF who left a bad marriage only to find her soul mate and live the life she had always dreamed of. Recently I have seen my friend BB have the courage to pursue her dream of having her own personal training business. Only this weekend I witnessed a group of 6 women across the street putting in a fence! Now that is GIRL POWER!

Sometimes as a Christian woman I feel that I shouldn't be such a strong woman. That I should be somehow meek and subservient. But read about the woman described in Proverbs 31. She was a strong woman! It is an empowering look at the role of women. Not only is a virtuous woman righteous in the Lord, but she is a loving wife and mother, a smart shopper, a seamstress, a gardener, a good housekeeper, and trains her children with wisdom. She had multiple businesses including buying and selling property. Her husband appreciates her and can praise her to his associates and friends because she is worthy of praise.
